Our Programs

General Operations

Trojan Shelter will serve students from USC and surrounding community colleges who are between the ages of 18-24. Our housing provides a safe and supportive space for its residents. Hours will be between 7pm and 8am. Residents are accommodated with a bed, communal bathroom with showers, and individual storage lockers. Trojan Shelter will also be holding daily communal dinners for its occupants, as well as to-go breakfast foods each morning.

Volunteers

USC undergraduate students will serve as staff. They will cook dinner for residents and stay with them overnight, acting as RAs. They will also facilitate bonding activities with residents and other staff members. In order to volunteer, all students will be required to complete a rigorous Behind Closed Doors training as well as other short trainings covering topics such as Title IX.

Case Management

Each resident will be provided with social-work resources on a need-basis.

Other services

Residents will be connected to on-campus resources at their respective colleges to pursue career opportunities and Trojan Shelter hopes to offer on-site workshops with Masters of Social Entrepreneurship students.
